About Vital Metals

Developing one of the world’s great rare earth deposits

Who We Are

A feasibility-stage rare earths and niobium developer

Our purpose is to build a reliable Western source of the rare earths that electrification, industry and defence depend on.

Vital Metals (ASX: VML) is developing the Nechalacho Rare Earth and Niobium Project in Canada’s Northwest Territories. Nechalacho hosts one of the largest and highest-grade rare earth deposits in the world, with a mineral resource of 192.7 million tonnes at 1.3 percent total rare earth oxide. The company is advancing the flagship Tardiff deposit toward a Pre-Feasibility Study, while a pipeline of regional targets and near-term activity at North T keep the project moving.

Rare earths are the foundation of modern technology. The neodymium and praseodymium contained at Nechalacho are essential to the permanent magnets that power electric vehicles, wind turbines and advanced defence systems. Today that supply is concentrated in a single country, and the world needs new sources it can rely on. Vital Metals is building one of them in a stable and allied jurisdiction, giving manufacturers and governments a secure alternative for the decades ahead.

Why Invest

A rare combination of scale, security and upside

01

A globally significant deposit

Nechalacho is one of the largest and highest-grade rare earth deposits in the world, with a mineral resource of 192.7 million tonnes at 1.3 percent total rare earth oxide. Scale and grade of this quality are uncommon, and together they underpin the potential for a long-life, globally relevant operation.

02

A secure and allied jurisdiction

The project sits in Canada’s Northwest Territories, one of the world’s most stable mining jurisdictions and a close ally in the effort to diversify critical mineral supply. Established tenure, supportive governments and a clear permitting framework reduce the risks that weigh on projects elsewhere.

03

Exposure to two critical minerals

Nechalacho offers leverage to both rare earths and niobium, two materials essential to electrification, advanced manufacturing and national security. This dual exposure broadens the project’s strategic value and its potential paths to market.

04

A clear path to value

A Scoping Study has already defined compelling economics for the Tardiff deposit, including a post-tax net present value of US$445 million and an internal rate of return of 25.5 percent. With a Pre-Feasibility Study underway, regional exploration upside and near-term activity at North T, the company is moving through a sequence of value-building milestones.
